Kids Karate Workshop FAQ
Everything you need to know before your child’s first karate experience.
Is this really for complete beginners?
Yes. The workshop is specifically designed for brand-new students. Your child does not need any previous karate or martial arts experience.
What if my child is shy or nervous?
That is completely fine. Many kids are a little unsure when they try something new. Our instructors are used to working with first-time students, and the workshop is designed to be welcoming and beginner-friendly.
Do parents stay for the workshop?
Absolutely. Parents are welcome to stay and watch.
Is it really only $2?
Yes. Registration for the workshop is only $2, and your child’s free karate uniform is included.
What else is included?
Your child will get to try karate, participate in karate-themed games and activities, meet our instructors and other kids, enjoy pizza after the workshop, and receive a free uniform.
Do we have to sign up for regular classes afterward?
No. There is no obligation to join and there is no hard sell. The whole point is to let your child experience karate first and see if they enjoy it.
What happens if my child loves it?
If your child enjoys the workshop and you’re interested in continuing, we’ll simply show you the regular program options and a special available to workshop families that day.
Is the workshop for current students?
No. This event is designed for brand-new students who want to experience Cosens Martial Arts for the first time.
What ages can attend?
Ages 3-4 attend at 11:00 AM. Ages 5-12 attend at 12:15 PM.
Is space limited?
Yes. We limit the number of participants in each age group, so advance registration is required.
